Our history

Blue Light Card began in 2008 with a simple purpose: to thank those who dedicate their lives to serving our communities. In 2022, we expanded that mission to Australia, recognising the incredible contribution of people working in healthcare, aged and disability care, teaching, emergency services and volunteering. With over 450 partner brands across leisure, technology, insurance and retail, we’re proud to give our members access to discounts they really value.

2008

Company founded

Tom and Steve, two friends from the UK, noticed a gap in the market for thanking those within the emergency services, and the concept of Blue Light Card is created.

Oct 2022

We're international!

Blue Light Card starts its international expansion and launches in Australia with new offices in Sydney.

Jul 2023

We welcome our new CEO

Alidad Moghaddam is appointed as our new Chief Executive Officer. Our co-founders, Tom and Steve, remain as board members of Blue Light Card.

Aug 2024

Teachers join our community

We expand our Blue Light Card community to include teachers, the people who are there to take care of the next generation.
