Partnerships Manager
Blue Light Card. Individually great, together unstoppable.
At Blue Light Card, our mission is to support and celebrate those who serve communities with unwavering dedication - from emergency services to healthcare, defence, and education sectors. By offering exclusive benefits and discounts through partnerships with top brands, we aim to make a meaningful impact on their everyday lives.
Founded in the UK in 2008, we now have more than 6 million members globally. We launched in Australia in 2022 with the same commitment to supporting those who serve. This is an opportunity to be part of a team driving the next chapter of Blue Light Card’s journey, blending purpose with measurable commercial success.
We’re looking for a Partnerships Manager to own the acquisition and onboarding of high-value partnerships that deliver real savings to our members.
What you’ll do
Own your acquisition targets across Tier 1 (household names, think Virgin, Samsung, Woolworths) and Tier 2 (emerging brands and challenger categories) - prioritising, pitching and closing end to end
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with partner stakeholders - typically CMOs, Heads of Marketing, and affiliate managers - and manage escalations when they arise
Prepare and present commercial proposals that make a compelling case for why BLC is the right channel for partners to reach Australia's essential workers
Keep your CRM pipeline (we use HubSpot) accurate and up to date - proposals, agreements, and pipeline stages all captured cleanly
Report regularly on pipeline performance, category progress, and opportunities
Manage partner onboarding and hand off smoothly to the Account Management team so partners get a great first experience with us
What you'll bring
Solid B2B sales or 360 account executive experience - you've owned a pipeline, hit targets, and closed complex commercial deals ideally in the retail, loyalty, affiliate or media industry
Confidence at senior stakeholder level: you're comfortable walking into a meeting with a CMO or Head of Marketing and holding your own
An understanding of how retail, QSR, or fashion brands think about partnership and affiliate activity (you don't need to explain what commission or co-op marketing means!)
Experience in a fast-moving or scaling environment - you're more interested in building something than maintaining it
HubSpot familiarity (or equivalent CRM) - you keep your pipeline clean without being asked
A genuine interest in what we're building: a platform that helps Australia's essential workers make their money go further
Our culture
At Blue Light Card, our members are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s our incredible team that make it all possible. We’re all about creating a workplace where people genuinely love what they do, and where talented individuals are excited to join.
We’re a tight-knit team motivated by shared values and a collective mission to support the people who keep our communities safe. We work hard, support each other, and always make room for a bit of fun along the way! Our Sydney office, is in the heart of the CBD (near Townhall), is where ideas flow, snacks are plentiful, and teamwork thrives.
What we offer
A competitive base salary + quarterly bonus
24 days annual leave + your birthday off + moments that matter leave
$1,000 health insurance contribution, a personal development fund, generous parental and fertility leave & your own BLC card
Hybrid working - we work 3 days in our Sydney CBD office and favour outcomes over hours.
If you want to make a real impact for Australia's essential workers, and help build something that genuinely matters - we'd love to hear from you!
