The role and team
We are on the lookout for a talented Commercial Finance Analyst to join us at Blue Light Card Australia to play a pivotal role owning the commercial analysis and performance review, to enhance commercial outcomes for the business.

What you’ll do
• Play a key role in budgets, reforecasts and long-range plans, supporting our business partners to ensure the right balance of ambition and achievability, and aligning to top-down guidance
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping them understand opportunity and risk in their areas, aligning financial plans and operational choices with strategic objectives
• Monitor performance, analyse variances, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Business partner with our Marketing and Partnerships teams to provide them with the insights they need to optimise our member offering and achieve more value for our members
• Create and share in-depth analysis as needed to support decision-making across the business
• Perform market analysis and benchmarking to provide context around our member behaviour and financial performance
• Contribute to our long-term forecast model, including scenario analysis to inform executive decision-making
What you’ll bring
• Proven experience as an FP&A or Commercial Finance Analyst, with a deep understanding of financial forecasting and techniques, ideally in a fast-paced consumer-facing tech, digital, or subscription-based business
• Deep analytical capability, comfortable building models, interrogating data, and extracting meaningful insights
• Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills; exposure to BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Lightdash, Datarails, Looker, etc.) and experience with SQL
• Good commercial understanding and ability to translate financial data into commercial insights and recommendations
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and succinctly to non-finance business partners
• Developed interpersonal skills and a track record of building strong business partnering relationships with colleagues, supporting all levels including senior management
• Flexibility to join calls/meetings with the UK team outside of regular business hours
